OUR BUSINESS
Sweet William Photography is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico and owned by photographer William Bledsoe and his wife Ashley (she's the sweet part!). We specialize in weddings, family portraits, high school senior portraits, and headshots for musicians, actors, and models. With all of the work we do, our mission is simply to create beautiful images for our clients. We believe that the success of our business depends on the quality of the work we produce.
Our studio is located in the Nob Hill area and is open for consultations by appointment.
THE PHOTOGRAPHERS
William Bledsoe
William is the owner and head photographer of Sweet William Photography. Throughout his childhood, his father was an avid hobbyist who always had old cameras lying around, so a love of photography came naturally. After college, William was hired by a local studio and it quickly became clear that his love of photography was something he could turn into a business and a career.
"Making images that make people happy is the source of my inspiration as a photographer. When I am working with a client, my goal is to provide them with images that are more beautiful than they could have imagined."

Richard Joyner
Richard is a photojournalist at heart. While working at the Albuquerque Journal, he had the opportunity to learn from some of the best photojournalists in New Mexico. It was there that his interest in photography grew into a passion. Richard's keen eye for details and candid moments define his talents as a wedding photographer.
“I love looking for moments and details that might otherwise be forgotten or unnoticed. Weddings are so full of those little moments and I really enjoy being there to capture them."
OUR APPROACH TO WEDDINGS
Our style incorporates a mixture of planned portraits (aka "formals") and photojournalism. In order to focus on both aspects equally, we provide two photographers for every wedding. William, the owner and head photographer, will capture the majority of your images while a second photographer focuses on details and candid moments. The end result is a complete, beautiful representation of your wedding day.
Planned portraits typically occur immediately before and after the ceremony. Before the ceremony, we focus on the bride and groom separately with their respective wedding parties and immediate families. Between the ceremony and reception, we spend most of our time creating fun, romantic photos of the bride and groom together.
The photojournalism aspect of our approach captures the mood and emotions of your wedding day; we constantly look for those candid moments that tell a story. When we are not shooting planned portraits, we are focused on simply documenting what's happening. We'll expertly capture your first kiss, your first dance, and all of the little details that make your wedding special.
With every wedding we photograph, we strive to produce consistently high quality work. In order to do that we keep our operation small. Wedding photography requires a combination of experience, creativity, attention to detail, technical ability and personality which can't be taught. Hiring a team of photographers simply isn't worth putting your wedding photographs and our reputation at risk. For this reason, our availability is limited to about 40 weddings per year.

OUR WEDDING PACKAGES
Every wedding package we offer includes ownership of the high-resolution versions of your images, an engagement photography session, online photo viewing and ordering, and credit toward professional prints. Our Signature Packages include high-quality, professionally designed albums while our more affordable Basic Packages are designed to give you the freedom to print and create your own keepsakes. The time line of your wedding day as well as the kind of products you want to receive will largely determine which package you select. Weddings that occur in one location typically require 3-7 hours of photography while two-location weddings require 5-8 hours.
The wedding albums in our packages are designed for you by us at no additional charge. Our enlargements are printed on high-quality, archival photo paper through a professional lab. Every high-resolution image we provide is hand corrected for color, contrast, and exposure. While some studios only give this much attention to the prints you order through them, we make sure all of your images will produce beautiful enlargements no matter who you order them through.
We will help you decide which package is right for your wedding and never try to sell you something you don't want or need. We can even design a custom package just for you. Prices start at just $995. Please contact us for additional information.

GOOD QUESTIONS TO ASK ANY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
There are many wedding photographers in New Mexico to choose from. Knowing the right questions to ask will help make sure you find a photographer you are comfortable with. These questions are especially important if the company you are interviewing employs several different photographers.

Q: Can I schedule a consultation with the photographer who will be at my wedding before I book?
Q: Will I receive one-on-one customer service from my photographer before and after my wedding?
Q: Can I view ALL of the photos from a recent wedding that was shot by my photographer?
Q: Will the photographer who shoots my engagement session be the same photographer who shoots my wedding?
Q: Has the photographer who will be at my wedding personally photographed at least 30 weddings in the past 2 years?
Q: Will I receive a disc of the highest resolution versions of my photos with any wedding package I choose?
Q: Will I have co-ownership of the copyrights to my wedding AND engagement photos?
Q: Will the album in my wedding package be professionally designed by my photographer at no additional charge?

Q: Do you have backup equipment? At least 2 cameras, 2 flashes, and 2 lenses?
Q: Is your equipment capable of handling low light situations without using a flash (important for indoor church ceremonies)?
Q: When will my wedding photos be ready to view?
