A Word From The Photographer:

My love and obsession for photography began in high school. I spent hours in the darkroom, even skipped classes to be there. Everywhere I went I envisioned objects, people, and landscapes all lining up to form beautiful compositions. This never went away. However, as my high school career continued I, in my young age, was entranced and distracted by other art forms. For a while I put the camera away and focused my energy elsewhere. Throughout college, I wrote, played music, and took only the occasional photograph. It wasn't until I found myself in the working world that I reconnected with this passion that had, at some point, fallen by the wayside. Only now I was in the digital age.

I began selling photographic equipment, but retail was certainly not for me. Every spare moment was spent focusing and improving upon my skills. One day I noticed a classified ad calling for wedding photographer trainees. I responded and soon found myself working at a full-time photography studio. At that point, I hadn't been to a wedding since I was thirteen years old. Suddenly I was going to one or two weddings every weekend. After a few seasons I found myself faced with an opportunity to start my own company and Sweet William Photography was born.

I love photography of all kinds, but I especially love photographing people. That is why I enjoy shooting weddings so much. Weddings are a portrait photographer's playground. Every type of subject is there, from the children to the grandparents. And they're all there to celebrate with and support the most important subjects of all: the bride and groom. I know how important my job is and I take it very seriously. At the end of the day, when the music has stopped, the food has been eaten, and the vows have been made, you are only left with the photographs to remember your wedding day by. It's my job to make sure those photographs are the best they can be.
