Albuquerque Wedding Photographer, William Benton

After photographing my first wedding in Albuquerque, New Mexico way back in 2005, it felt like my lifelong passion for photography had finally culminated into an experience that tied everything I loved to photograph together — raw moments, vivid landscapes, closeup details, and fast action all wrapped into one beautiful day. It was (and still is) a thrill and an honor to be given the opportunity to practice my art while providing couples with images their family will treasure for generations to come. Now, with 20 wedding seasons and over 600 weddings under my belt, wedding photography is second nature to me. There isn't a mishap I can't roll with or a moment I'm not ready for, allowing me to bring a calm, confident, creative energy to your wedding — whether we're chasing golden hour light along the Rio Grande, navigating a sunny outdoor ceremony in Santa Fe, or making the most of the dramatic skies that make New Mexico weddings unlike anywhere else.

My approach to editing mirrors my approach to shooting: understated and true to life. I edit for accurate color and tone. The flowers, the bridesmaids' dresses, the groomsmen's ties, the tablescapes — all the details you carefully chose deserve to be represented faithfully. Wedding photography styles come and go, and images that are overly affected by editing tend to show their age eventually. My goal is for your photos to look just as good in 30 years as they do the day you receive them.

Over the years I've had the privilege of shooting at some of New Mexico's most stunning venues — from the sweeping Sandia Mountain views at Sandia Resort and Tanoan Country Club, to the lush organic beauty of Los Poblanos and Casa Rondeña Winery in the North Valley, the historic charm of Hotel Albuquerque and Casas de Sueños in Old Town, the rustic elegance of Old Town Farm, and the world-class settings of Tamaya Resort, La Fonda on the Plaza, and the Four Seasons Santa Fe. No matter where you're getting married in New Mexico, chances are I've shot there or somewhere similar.

Think I might be a good fit for your wedding? Tell me a bit about your plans and we'll schedule a relaxed chat!

Cheers,

-William
